Please note - Ndiyo has now officially closed its doors, at least as a legal entity - but we've kept the site alive in case any of the information is useful to others.
Our thanks to all those who helped out and were involved in so many different ways! The Ndiyo legacy lives on in the ultra-thin-client work at its spin-off DisplayLink, at Plugable, at NoPC and elsewhere...
Mark Shuttleworth visits Ndiyo
On June 24, the South African inventor, entrepreneur, astronaut and Open Source advocate, Mark Shuttleworth, visited Ndiyo.
Mark had given a memorable lecture the previous evening at the Judge Institute. We were keen to talk to him about some of the stuff funded by his Foundation -- including the Ubuntu Linux distribution we're using for Ndiyo, and the amazing tuxLab project. The photograph shows him talking to Quentin Stafford-Fraser (on the right) over an Ndiyo 'Internet cafe in a box' we had set up as a demo in the Ndiyo house.
